For Nearly Six Flying Saucer Pie Company has been more than a bakery-

We have become part of Houston’s story & history

& thousands of family traditions.

We have been handcrafting pies the old fashioned way:

from scratch, using quality ingredients, time-tested family recipes,

& never taking shortcuts.

Every pie is homemade with care and is baked fresh right here in our little shop on

W. Crosstimbers.

Whether you’re stopping in for your first slice or

carrying home the same pie that’s

been on your family’s holiday table for generations.

We are honored to be part of your story.

At Flying Saucer Pies

we believe the best memories are made around the table,

where conversations last a little longer,

& where it is always worth saving room for dessert.

Our Story

Thank you for letting us serve Houston since 1967.

We look forward to welcoming you through our doors,

sharing our family tradition with yours,

& baking pies that are truly out of this world.

Every pie has a story.

Ours begins with an immigrant who believed that if you worked hard, treated people with kindness, and never compromised on quality, you could build something that would outlive you.

When my father opened Flying Saucer Pie Company in 1967, he wasn’t just opening a bakery—he was chasing the American dream!

He had come to this country with gratitude for the opportunities it offered

& a determination to build a life that would make his family proud.

What started as a small neighborhood pie shop quickly became a Houston tradition, one pie, one customer, and one handshake at a time.

My father believed that a pie wasn’t just dessert.

It IS families gathered around after Sunday dinner.

It IS what neighbors carried to someone who is in needed comforting.

It IS the centerpiece of and countless ordinary & special evenings that became cherished memories.

It IS the centerpiece of  Thanksgiving & Christmas celbebrations.

Bill  poured that belief into every crust he rolled & every pie he baked.

Today, we have the privilege of carrying on his legacy.

While the world around us has changed, the heart of Flying Saucer Pie  has not.

We still make our pies by hand, from scratch, using the same time-honored recipes & the same commitment to quality that dad insisted upon nearly sixty years ago.

We still believe that taking the extra time to do things the right way is always worth it.

Every customer who walks through our doors becomes part of our extended family.

Some have been coming here for generations.

Others are discovering us for the very first time.

Whether you’ve celebrated every holiday with one of our pies or

you’re just beginning your own tradition, we’re grateful you’ve chosen to be part of our story.

Every pie we bake is a tribute to Bill's  journey,

a celebration of Houston,

& a reminder that the sweetest traditions are the ones we share together.
